As a newborn photographer, I have the privilege of capturing the beauty and innocence of brand new babies and the joy of the families welcoming them into the world. Newborn photography is a unique and special type of photography that requires a lot of patience, creativity, and a gentle touch.

One of the most important aspects of newborn photography is safety. When posing newborns, it's crucial to prioritize their comfort and well-being. This means using proper support and techniques to ensure that the baby is always secure and never in any danger.

In addition to safety, it's important to create a calm and relaxing environment for the photoshoot. Newborns can be unpredictable, so it's essential to be flexible and go with the flow. Taking breaks as needed, and rescheduling if the baby is fussy or not feeling well, is always the best course of action.

This is a composite image. Hands are on the baby at all times!! I use photoshop to take out the hands. Do not try this without proper training.

Creating beautiful and timeless images of newborns is also about finding the right poses and lighting. I love to use props and accessories when posing newborns but I make sure the baby is safe at all times, using parent to help out or an assistant. I don’t use a lot of distractions when posing newborns as I try to let the natural beauty shine through. I use studio lights to get a consistent look throughout all my images, I also like to use neutral colors so that I can provide a clean and timeless look.

As a newborn photographer, it's a joy and a privilege to be able to capture these special moments for families. The bonds and love that I see between parents and their new arrival never fail to inspire me, and it's a honor to be able to preserve these memories for them through my photography.

G. was 8 days old when i traveled to VA beach for his newborn session. I photographed his older brother a few years prior. I love when i get to photograph families as they grow their families.

The family was so adoable during the session. Big Brother wasn’t that interested in baby brother but i did manage to get a few great shots of them together. I took some posed portraits of the family and siblings then we took a few lifestyle images as well to round out this adorable session.

For the first half of the newborn session G. was wide awake and eager to show me his gorgeous eyes that sparkled just like his mothers! In all my years of photographing newborns the ones where they look straight into my lens has to be one of my all-time favorites. When a newborn baby looks right at you with eyes as big as dinner plates, you can’t help but wonder what they’re thinking about and what beautiful things they will see in their lifetime. Getting to be part of that world is something I will never get tired of experiencing.

Capturing parents with their babies is so important to me – it’s a tangible memory you’ll never want to forget, and one you’ll cherish as your little one grows into a bigger version of themselves. That’s why newborn photography is so special to me, and why I absolutely adore my job as a photographer (which is more like a passion than work!). I’m essentially creating a blueprint for your life with your child, and you’ll have tons of stunning images to look back on to remember the sweet moments you spent, holding your newborn in your arms, gushing over how much you love them.

This is one of my FAVORITE photography sets, and boy, did G. play his part in the shoot. What a handsome little prince he was! I used the Where the Wild things are set up for his newborn session and i got to use it again for his ONE yr. session.

Refer a new customer to us and we will award you with a $50 credit when your friend books a full-length session or a $25 credit when they book a mini session. You may stack multiple referral credits ( no limit on this) and use them towards your session in the next 12 months.

As soon as your friend completes their session, we’ll credit your account and send you a note to let you know the details, but you are welcome to check in anytime on your referral status or credit balance. Thank you so much for your ongoing support.

How it works

There is NO limit to the amount of referral credit you can earn! Feel free to stack them and use them towards your next session

You can use referral credits towards any type of session

Referral credits Must be used within one year from the date of the credit

Referral credit is non-transferable from person to person

Referral credit cannot be redeemed for monetary value or any service aside from photography sessions

Referral credits can not be deducted from pervious sessions or offered as a refund or cash alternative.

Referral credit will only be given once your friends has completed and ordered their sessions * typically around two weeks after their session date**

Multiple credits will not be giving for the same referral . One referral credit will be given per one referred and competed session

Your referred customer can let us know at time of booking that you referred them, but it’s always helpful when you drop us a quick text or email to let us know. We always love to hear from you.

Clients must be a new client and not complete a session with us with in the last three years

Look at adorable Noah from his in-home newborn session. He was such a good baby, he was up for most of his session and liked to cluster feed but at 8 days new he rocked his session. I know his parents will charish these images for years to come. I’m so happy to provides these newborn photographs for families in the comfort of their own home. I also have a home studio but for the most part clients feel more comfortable in their homes. I bring the whole studio to you. Sweet baby girl, Ella , has made her arrival and I was so happy and excited to meet her!  She looked so cute in every color we put her in and her sweet little face just lights up the camera.  I just know that both her parents and her older siblings are SO in love with her!

This little guy slept like a dream. His parents loved to travel and Mario. So we incorporated that into his session. What a handsome little man with that full head of hair! The Deluxe Newborn session can take place in your home or in my home studio. I bring all the props and outfits to you. This is a great benefit since you may not be up to leaving your house.

A.. is ONE yr old!! ! The last time I saw this little guy was for his newborn session, and look how he's grown! He still has that same precious smile. He was a little shy at first but soon opened up and gave me some great smiles.

The weather was just perfect on Libby hill for his ONE year session. We had to reschedule the shoot a few times due to rain so it was a pleasant surprise that the weather cooperated.

Meet Asa, This little guy was just so calm for his almost newborn session . He was 1 month old and just so adorable. He loved to be swaddled and fell asleep but once the swaddle came off he was awake again but just looking around. I did get a few images of him sound asleep. What a handsome little man with that full head of hair! Enjoy!
