I love when families come back to me to photograph their second, third etc. babies. I photographed little D. his first year using the Grow with me package and the family booked the same Grow with me package for their little Girl. She was born on Christmas Day which is really awesome. She slept for the last half of her session. I brought the studio to the families home. Everything i use is cleaned and sanitized after each use. I wear a mask and make sure that everyone is healthy before we begin. Mom picked out creams and pinks for little P. newborn session. Newborn sessions are best booked before baby is 14 days old so that the baby will sleep and like to be posed . These are just a few of my favorite images from the session. There’s something I love so much about a little boy session. Maybe it’s the simplicity. The focus only on that sweet baby and nothing else. As a newborn baby photographer, that’s really my goal. To feature that sweet new addition to your family in the best way possible, but also in a way that you love and that reflects my style with your input from the questionnaire. I can come to your home and bring the studio or you could come to my home studio whichever is easiest for you. I clean and sanitize all of my equipment and props before each session. Sweet little H. is 10 days new and the most adorable rainbow baby. Her mom also owns horses so we used a saddle in a few images. Daddy is also retired from the military and we got some great shots as well. Newborn sessions can take place in the comfort of your own home or in my home studio. I can bring all the props and studio lights to you.
These newborn sessions are custom and we discuss the props and outfits you would like to use. I clean and sanitized all props after each session. I wear a mask and gloves during the sessions.
This little sweetie pie did a fantastic job sleeping for me at his newborn session at his home where I bring the studio to you. Everything is cleaned and sanitized before each session. Dad loves fishing so we incorporated a cute little boat.
There are a couple questions I have been getting asked a lot by clients. When should I book my newborn session? Why should I book with a specialty Newborn Photographer? These are great questions to be asking. Your newborn baby deserves the very best & so do you. You are trusting your baby's safety with your photographer and want the very best outcome from the session.
When should you book your newborn session?
I say as soon as possible! Don't wait too long! I know I personally have had to turn away clients who inquired about a newborn session but had waited to long to book and I was already fully booked. Newborn Photographers usually only take a limited number of Newborn Sessions a month to ensure their complete focus and to make sure they will have a session spot for you. Booking early can help in a lot of ways. First, this will ensure you have a session spot. Second, most photographers’ schedules fill up bookings very fast. Third, this ensures that your photographer can personalize/customize the session to your Nursery theme or color scheme that you may want. Most photographers start planning your session soon after your booking, they want to make sure that your portraits are to your liking but also reflect the photographer’s artistic side/style. Also we may even need to buy a prop to coordinate with your session so we will need time to make that happen.
Why to hire a specialty newborn photography versus a regular photographer?
Newborn babies are very precious. You want your newborn to be photographed but your other main concern is their safety. Most photographers care about your newborns safety but may not know the safe way to pose your newborn properly. By hiring a specialty newborn photographer, this ensures they know what they are doing. They can pose your newborn in multiple poses while making sure your newborn is completely safe. They also know how to pose a newborn in one pose but at the same time, making sure to capture the best angles resulting in multiple images versus just one image from the pose. Also, your session time will be reasonable. Regular photographers take longer in posing as they are not fully trained in Newborn Photography. A non-specialist photographer can take up to 4 hours or more to photography a newborn session, as to where specialty newborn photographers can photograph a newborn session in 2 hours or less.

The session dates are flexible. The times however are from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Please let me know which two dates work for you and i will be happy to accommodate either of those dates if possible.

Look at adorable Noah from his in-home newborn session. He was such a good baby, he was up for most of his session and liked to cluster feed but at 8 days new he rocked his session. I know his parents will charish these images for years to come. I’m so happy to provides these newborn photographs for families in the comfort of their own home. I also have a home studio but for the most part clients feel more comfortable in their homes. I bring the whole studio to you. We discuss colors and props you would like to incorporate into your session to make them special to you.
I loved getting to see this sweet family again and do an in-home newborn session for them. Baby girl was such a good newborn for her newborn pictures. After being awake for a while she slept for the remainder of her session and even gave us some amazing newborn eye contact at the very end of his session.

Meet sweet and adorable little Mason. This session was a mini newborn session. These in-home newborn mini sessions are quickly becoming some of my favorite to shoot! We do just a few simple set-ups with baby only, yet clients still get a diverse gallery. These sessions are great for those who don’t want family or sibling images or who just want “a few” pictures of baby. You can clearly see you get more then a few images, but that is besides the point. I hope you enjoy this sweet baby boy as much as i enjoyed photographing him. He slept the whole time. Newborn Mini sessions are 30 min. I come to you and you receive 5 digital downloads for $200. each additional digital is $15 each.

I couldn’t wait to share this session! Sweet little A. was born last month but I know the wait was worth to finally share her images. Many parents worry if their baby is not within the recommended 2 weeks for their newborn portraits but as you can see, older babies do an awesome job and we get gorgeous images. Little A slept through her whole session and was even more settled than most of the littles that I photograph. I loved the girlie headbands and delicate wraps we used. I photograph a lot of boys (and I’m a mom of two little guys plus an almost 18 yr old daughter ) so when I get to capture a little baby girl, I get extra excited.. feels like it’s playing dress up. Meet newborn Kerrigan. He is a beautiful little guy and slept like a champ for his newborn session. He made the cutest little faces while he slept! We used a new blue backdrop and wire bed for his session.
This little sleeping beauty is Veronica and she is brand new around here! She was such a great sleeper for her session and then when it came time to take the last few photos, she woke up but gave me the sweetest smile. Her doggy brother was so sweet with her.

Booking your baby's first professional portraits is truly exciting! You've waited months to meet the baby and have dreamed of holding them in your arms! Now that you've selected your photographer and are gearing up for a great session, you may be a little unsure what to wear to your newborn session. Have no fear! As a professional newborn photographer plus mom (I mean, I DO have three children !) I know how important these images are to you. You'll treasure them forever. You would like to look and feel your best. I'm here to guide you and provide an amazing, laid back experience for you new parents.
First and foremost, moms should wear something that makes them feel beautiful and comfortable (after all.. you just had a little one!). The best advice really is to keep it simple. The best way to do this is by wearing a simple, solid-colored top. Light colored tops in creams, light grays, and light pastels help in keeping the focus on your expression and the moment. Mom can wear a long sleeve, or no sleeves. I prefer Dads to wear long sleeves but for one picture I would need Dad to wear a short sleeve shirt or no shirt.
No matter how old the sibling is, the main goal is to have them comfortable with photos with their baby sibling. It’s especially important because some of the sibling shots involve them laying down on a blanket with the baby. Again, try to coordinate colors with the parents. A light or cream-colored top on a sibling creates an angelic and sweet look.
The sibling portion always makes mom's heart soar! This is a very popular request for sessions and we set aside an additional 30 minutes for these setups. I like to pose the older sibling on their back while the eldest child holds the new baby. This is a safe way for them to interact without worrying if the baby will be dropped. A neutral colored flokati, such as cream or white, is a really pretty option here. Little ones look super precious in classic, natural attire such as dark wash blue jeans, perhaps even khaki pants, and then a simple top in a lighter color, such as beige, cream, white, or tan.
Each family is unique and different. These tips are here to help decide what to wear for your baby photoshoot. Though neutrals and light colors are recommended… if you love color, don’t be afraid to rock it! But nothing neon. If you are still unsure, let me know… I’m here to help you along each step of the way!
