Welcoming a newborn into your family is a beautiful, emotional time. As a newborn and family photographer, I love when I have the opportunity to document these early days as everyone in the family gets to know its newest member. i photographed the McClenney older son a few years prior. Big Brother D. was such a good helper with his baby sister. He was so sweet with her and helped when i needed someone to hold the backdrop.

Welcoming a new baby sister can sometimes be daunting for older siblings, but not for Dillion, Dillion is SO excited about being a big brother. He was so happy every time Baby Paisley did something cute… or silly… or anything really! Dillion would break out into giggles, which was super cute. I photographed the family in their home. I brought the studio to them. They chose the colors and props i brought to their session. I clean and sanitize all the props, wraps, outfits etc. before each session. I also wear a mask during the session. Little Miss was born on Christmas Day.

Part of why I love in-home newborn sessions is that everyone can be more relaxed and comfortable. Plus, I get a chance to see the beautiful nurseries! I’m mostly a posed newborn photographer but i can photograph a little lifestyle if the family would like to have a few of those shots

Little Miss. Paisley was awake for the end of her session and we did get some great direct eye contact shots.
