Introducing baby M. 7 days new. I had the honor of photographing her sister 11 months prior. I love when families come back as their family grows. Big sis did a great job with her little sister. Baby M. was just perfect for her Studio session at my home studio in Richmond, VA. Mom chose sage green and pink for her colors adn the bed and swing for props. The deluxe newborn session can take 2-3 hrs. The studio is warmed up to 80 degrees to help keep baby calm and sleepy. I try and photograph family and siblings first then concentrate on just baby. Darling newborn baby S. 9 days new made her appearance in my studio recently... she even brought along her two big brothers who I also photographed as a newborn.

I hope you enjoy a peek into her session. I love to photograph growing families. I try and photograph siblings and parents first then concentrate on the newborn. The studio gets very warm so be prepared. I have a few puzzles and toys for the older siblings to play with while I photograph their new baby sibling. If the other parent wants to take the older siblings home or back to school that is also an option.

This little one had me working for these images but you wouldn’t know it from the perfect little images.

Little Miss. E. was 3 wks new during her session. She took some time to settle but once she did we got some amazing poses. We have the studio set at 80 degrees with a heater so she is nice and warm during her session. This lovely baby girl brought so much joy into my studio.

Newborn sessions have the best results when the baby is under 10 days old. This is because they are still super sleepy and love to curl up. Newborn photo shoots are also best done before baby acne sets in at about 14 days. However, sometimes this can’t be done and an older baby we may have to work a little harder to get them into certain poses. Some poses such as the froggy pose may not be idea for an older baby but there are still several poses we can get an older baby into.

If you're thinking about a newborn photoshoot for your new baby, inquire early. I'm currently booking a few months out. If your newborn is already here feel free to reach out, occasionally I do have last-minute openings. I'm also now offering priority editing, you can opt to have your image gallery within 5 days of your session. It's a great way to get your images back right away, especially if you want to get those birth announcements out.  There is a fee for this service.

Spring mini studio sessions were a hit! The weather this early spring has been unpredictable so i chose to add some in studio session dates for the little ones! I have a few backdrops to choose from as well as two Easter bunny outfits for babies between 6 months to 9 months old. The backdrops I have can hold up to two to three children and so much fun. The mini session is located in my short pump, VA home studio. The mini is 15 min and you get 5 digital downloads, each additional download is an additional cost. I’m excited to announce Spring mini sessions this year. I will have a few spots open for Spring Studio and Outside with the blooms.

A mini session is 15 min and you get 5 digitals for $225 plus tax and you get 5 digital downloads.

These images are examples of several spring mini session locations i have photographed in the past. Some are studio with the different backdrops i use. The spring studio sessions take place in my Short Pump, VA location. These sessions are for children only. The outside minis are suitable for families and i try to do a mixture of posed and lifestyle. These sessions are for families of four or greater.

Most blooms are best captured the end of March until May.

How lucky am I to have been working with the same Santa for a few years now! He even brought Mrs. Santa with him this year to the studio! ! I wish honestly I could have done 2 straight days of Santa Minis because they were so sweet and magical. How fun to witness the joy and magic (and fear haha) that comes from kids when they meet Santa. Santa was so sweet with everyone and won over the most fearful of kids by the end of their time with him. He was so gentle and really made an effort to make a connection with each kid individually. Some of the kids brought their lists directly to him, and he brought Mrs. Santa to help ease some of the kids fears. If you missed out this year just know this will definitely be something I do next year!

This sweet little one was 5 wks new. for her newborn session  and the perfect mix of sleepy and awake.  I love the neutral and airy colors we choose for this session. She was so calm and wasn’t a huge fan of her belly but we did get some great poses from her. This session took place in the comfort of her own home. I clean and sanitize all outfits, blankets, wraps and anything that touches baby. We usually start with Parents poses then move onto newborn poses. These are a few of my favorite pictures from her session.
