I have a several dates open. listed with time slots (if you can't make any of the time slots, get in touch with me). Please let me know the date/time you are interested in. Sessions are 15 minutes. Mini sessions will be offered at a rate of $147 for 5 digital downloads.
Please arrive 5 minutes early since the sessions are back to back. I want my clients to be able to choose their favorite digital photographs. You will get a proof gallery in 2 weeks (with my watermark) up to 15 photographs to choose from. If you would like to purchase the whole gallery, you just favorite all your photographs and each additional image after the 5th one is $10 each.

There is no doubt that we are ALL affected by COVID-19. This is incredibly hard for those of us who are self employed. Starting last week i have started social distancing myself and my family. I will take great care to stay healthy and to keep my family healthy. We CAN get through this together. I know what everyone is thinking about right now. and it’s probably not photography. But i’m going to keep posing pictures of cute babies, beautiful families and whatever else makes you smile. It helps to brighten your day. Don’t let his virus take your memories away. Book a session! This isn’t going to beat me… Don’t let it beat you. BE BOLD!
All outdoor sessions are still a go just as long as everyone is healthy. These sessions will take place at a non crowded locations.

Newborn sessions will take place at your home or my home studio which will be completely sanitized before/after.
All fabric/props used will be washed/ sanitized before/ after.
Diligent hand-washing and hand sanitizing will be done.

Can you believe we are close to Spring! I feel like this winter has dragged on, and I am so done with the cold! Which is why I am looking forward to Spring so much, I am so happy to see the trees beginning to bloom and the green and life slowly returning to the plants and trees in the area!

A beautiful early morning for a fall family session. The colors were gorgeous and so was the family.
We held our first ever Red Truck Minis the other day! The weather was great, the location was just turning colors, and everyone was happy! They went SO well, that I plan to offer them again on Dec. 15th limited spots available. Start thinking of your outfits now!

Nothing beats newborn photography for me, this is my favorite type of photography...Just the newness of the little one and the excitement to document a new addition to a family is so special to me. This maternity photo session in Richmond, VA was beautiful. It was such a delight photographing this sweet husband and wife. Hurricaine Mathew just exited the area and the sun was shinning. The weather was just perfect this evening. I can't wait to meet their little one in a few weeks.

Planning for your family photography session can seem overwhelming. There are so many factors that can influence your end result and are worth consideration prior to your shoot. And while your family photographer can remain fluid and flexible with respect to timing and location, and session structure, it is helpful if you – the client – considers your goals and planning points.
Your family photography session should be relaxed and fun, but keep in mind that it is an investment, and an important one that perhaps you’ve been saving for. With a little bit of extra thought and planning, you can be assured you are more than satisfied (and perhaps a little amazed!) with the final results!
When planning your family photography session, think about these 4 key “W” questions:
1. When (time of year),
2. Where (beach, city, park, meadow, home),
3. What time (time of day)
4. What to wear (casual, traditional, preppy, trendy, etc.)
And while you nail down those basic planning elements, take a step back and think about what you will DO with your images. Do you plan to:
• Create a keepsake album or coffee table book?
• Display images on your walls, and if so, to what size… will they be framed or canvases?
• Give gift prints?
• Share the images online and use in your personal photobooks and slideshows?
Once you’ve thought through those items, you will want to consider your family’s personality, your style, and the decor of your home.
• What type of family are you (sporty, preppy, beachy, traditional, casual)?
• Which room(s) are you most likely to display your images (foyer, family room, hallway/staircase, living room, bedroom)?
• What is the style, decor and color of that area (warm, cool, formal, modern, beachy, cottage, traditional)?
Next, describe your dream images – if you could have 5 images come out of your session, what would they look like?
Armed with these answers, regroup with your photographer and communicate your vision. Together you can come up with a game plan that will ensure you are on the same page and allow your photographer to deliver the type of images you have always dreamed of having for your home. Additionally, once you view your gallery, you are not arbitrarily looking at images, but instead selecting them with your specific goals in mind.
To make sense of this, consider viewing a gallery in two scenarios:
1. Without Family Photography Session Planning: “Huh, well, I like the family ones, but they are cropped tight and you can’t see the landscape and I think it will look funny over the beach house fireplace… plus, our winter, formal clothes don’t match the beachy decor.”
2. With Session Planning: ”Awesome, this is exactly what we wanted for the focal point wall gallery in the family room. I love it! The beach backdrop, the colors and our outfits are exactly what I had in mind when I thought of a story-telling canvas collection for above the fireplace.”
Remember, it’s your family photography session. You probably don’t have time (or energy) to repeat it at this exact stage in your life, so make sure that you stack the deck in your favor the first time! Your planning, preparation and communication will surely pay off and you will have personal art in your home that makes you smile every day, for years and years to come. Isn’t that what custom photography is all about? We think so.

If there were ever a woman who looked like a "goddess" during birth, it would have been Kim, This was definitely one of the calmest, fastest and most lovely birth expediences i have ever witnessed..Such strength and beauty.
Are you ready for cuteness overload?! I had the honor of taking this little guy’s newborn pictures and look forward to seeing him grown with the grow with me package. His mommy always comes prepared with the best outfits and accessories!! Baby Leven was so cute sitting in the red chair, It was very cold that morning but he was a trooper.
Look who came to see me today. Baby Tucker, he has grown so much since his newborn session. He is now 6 months old and almost sitting unsupported. I love this age and stage. Generally these babies are happy and quick to smile and are quite inquisitive, its a pretty cool age to make sure you get documented with a professional photographer. I generally suggest waiting until baby can sit on his or her own to really make the most of the session.
Little Tucker was such a sweet heart. I can't wait to see him again.
Pregnancy is one of the most beautiful/special/ amazing times of a woman's life. Words cannot describe how incredible it feels to have your baby safely inside you, which is why i am always so giddy to do a belly session! I love the excitement in the air andthe glow of the mama to be. I have photographed this couple for over 2 yrs now and i will be photographing the birth of their second baby....gender will be revealed at the birth. :)
Pregnant women are so beautiful. I love when families choose to document their pregnancy with a maternity photo session. Although Maternity sessions are booked as an add on to their Newborn sessions. We captured some great images. Kim & Chris will be welcoming a sweet little girl into the world soon! Little Ari is so excited to become the BIG SISTER!

Meet 22 day old Arjun:
Introducing the teeny tiny sweet-as-can-be Mr. Arjun. He was 22 days old the day of his session and he just rocked it! That was the day of the big snow storm. He has such a wonderful little personality and he even shared a few really adorable big smiles with me. His smiles where so big at time, I’m pretty sure I heard him laughing. I wonder what he was dreaming about….or maybe he was just laughing at me, haha!
He already has such a fun personality. He really LOVED being wrapped up. I’m so glad that the weather finally held out long enough for us to get Arjuns' session done – it’s been so cold and snowy. We received 17" of snow that day. I'm glad i was able to photograph this sweet boy before the snow really hit. Pretty soon this sweet little boy will be running around outside all day long and his family will soon be missing the newborn stage. They will forever have wonderful memories to forever remember this fleeting age always and I’m so happy that I was able to capture so many beautiful pictures of Arjun for his family. The newborn age only happens once and I’m always so honored when families have chosen me to capture this precious time for them.

Meet 8 day old Conner:
Conner was a great model during his session. He did such an amazing job, I was able to capture so many wonderful memories for his family to treasure of him as a newborn forever. Newborn photography is definitely one of those lifetime events that only happens once in your life – a time you can never ever get back no matter how much you wish you could freeze it or go back into time to enjoy it all over again. I can’t say it enough how very priceless newborn photographs truly are. The newborn stage, although when you’re actually facing sleepless nights can seem to last forever, really and truly only lasts for a very short moment. Before you know if, your little one is cooing and crawling…..and then heading out the front door for kindergarten. Giving families memories I’ve been able to capture of their newborn to treasure for a lifetime means so very much to me. Sadly, it’s something I really don’t have myself so I can speak my emotions from my very heart. Other than those….well, not so adorable…..newborn photos the hospital took, that’s all the newborn photographs I have of my “babies”. Newborn photography wasn’t that popular when my oldest were born or even when my youngest was born only 8 years ago. What I wouldn’t give to have just one very nice image of my children as newborns to hang onto and remember all those tiny little details that are so quickly forgotten. Being able to give new parents galleries filled with many pictures of their newborns that features all those sweet little details that bring them back to the moment when they first meet their tiny little baby is such a wonderful feeling for me. I’m forever grateful to each and every one of my clients that have entrusted in me to capture these moments for them and their families to treasure for many of years.

A few of my favorite maternity sessions.
I photographed a beautiful couple about to welcome their first child together in a few short weeks. The weather was just perfect. The sun was setting on the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts grounds as the setting of this beautiful maternity location. I can't wait to meet the little one in Jan.
