Spring is coming soon! I’m booking my Cherry Blossoms for March 2024! These sell out very quickly. The weather in Richmond can be unpredictable so the dates are roughly the middle to end of March. The blooms only last about 2wks so keep an eye out.
I'm so excited to show my Cherry Blossom minis from the past few weeks. The Cherry Blossoms bloomed a little early this year but we made it happen. The weather was perfect and I’m so grateful for all the families that came out. ! Until next year! These sessions are the most popular spring minis i offer. The cherry blossoms bloom for about two weeks. The minis are 15 min and you get 5 digital.

I love when families come back to me to photograph their second, third etc. babies. I photographed little D. his first year using the Grow with me package and the family booked the same Grow with me package for their little Girl. She was born on Christmas Day which is really awesome. She slept for the last half of her session. I brought the studio to the families home. Everything i use is cleaned and sanitized after each use. I wear a mask and make sure that everyone is healthy before we begin. Mom picked out creams and pinks for little P. newborn session. Newborn sessions are best booked before baby is 14 days old so that the baby will sleep and like to be posed . These are just a few of my favorite images from the session. I look forward to documenting her grow.

Themed first birthday sessions are so much fun. I try and take some photos of the birthday child and with their parents then switch to the cake smash portion of their session which helps some one year old ease into the session. Some maybe a little shy and since Quarantine they haven’t been exposed to many people so some are a bit scared and cry but we did manage to get a few cute pic of the cookie monster themed ONE Year old milestone session.
What a gorgeous little peanut! K. was definitely small, but she rocked her new baby photo session. I love all the neutrals from her session with some soft pops of color. She slept for a majority of her session, Big brother was so good with her. He was so proud and make sure to check out the stunning parent images from her session. I know she’ll cherish those when she gets older. Congratulations to this beautiful family of four! I loved meeting you all and can’t wait to see how she has grown as the months go by!

This is one of my FAVORITE photography sets, and boy, did G. play his part in the shoot. What a handsome little prince he was! I used the Where the Wild things are set up for his newborn session and i got to use it again for his ONE yr. session.

Cake smash sessions have to one of my favorite sessions to photograph. Little Miss C. had a Sunflower cake smash studio session. A sunflower cake smash session is the perfect theme for a little girl born in the summer. The backdrop was just perfect and we added some real sunflowers. I usually take some portraits first then change outfits for the cake smash portion. Little C. loved her cake and dug right in.
I do have the letters ONE & the #1 for some portraits. Parents are included in some images as well.
Babies change and grow so quickly! I love capturing the little details and personalities because in a blink of an eye it changes! We often forget too quickly what they were doing when and these helps us remember.
I mean, just look at those rolls. . Baby rolls never get old! Never!!
If baby loves her cake i do have a sink to clean them up a bit before you leave.
i had so much fun photographing all these families at the Sunflower field this year! Thank you for coming out during this pandemic. The field was just breath taking. Alvis Farms was an incredible host for the sunflower festival. Their 50+ acre sunflowers were the perfect backdrop for family photos.
I usually encourage parents to bring baby to me when they are still under two weeks, or at least in the first month, if they want newborn style images of their sweet babies. But I know that cannot always happen. I would never turn away a client just because baby is “older”. I do, however, have to set expectations with the family. At 6wks., I usually cannot get sleep curly newborn style images. Sweet baby X. didn't fit the mold for a typical 6wks old baby girl. She slept a little for her session and we were able to get some darling awake AND asleep shots of her. At this age if they do sleep I can usually only get them in one prop, asleep. Moving them usually wakes them. But she let us move her! It was definitely challenging, but SO worth the patience. I mean, how you can you resist these sweet images! <3 Congrats to this beautiful family!

I photographed big sisters newborn session a couple of years ago and I was having flashbacks.. they are complete cuties They both are so adorable and had such a great photoshoot. Below are some favorites from Colbys at-home newborn family photos in Richmond, VA . I bring the studio to the comfort of your home. I sanitize the equipment and use a mask and gloves to make sure everyone is safe and healthy.
Since the start of the Coronavirus going around I wanted to explain the safety steps Jacki G. Photography is taking to ensure your safety.
I have been a newborn photographer for 9 years. I always practice special precautions to make sure the studio is cleaned and sanitized properly before, during, and after each session. I regularly clean the studio. but especially during this pandemic , with the Coronavirus going around I am taking extra precautions.
Since I am also a traveling newborn photographer, I make sure that all of my equipment is cleaned and sanitized before each session. If you or your child is sick please contact me to reschedule your session. I do not mind rescheduling. it is better to be safe. If you do bring a sick child in my studio or I arrive at your home and their is a sick child, I will cancel the session without refund. Please don’t spread any kind of sickness. We want to keep everyone healthy.
I keep/bring hand sanitizer in the studio and to your home session. I wash my hands before the session and will use hand sanitizer during the session. I wash my backdrops/blankets before and after each session. I wipe down hard surfaces with Lysol cleaning wipes. I also wipe down and clean the bathroom including door handles, light switches and so on. I have hand sanitizer in the bathroom too. Please feel free to use the hand sanitizer. I ask that you do the same in the area I will be working in. I also bring a mask and gloves when working with newborns to make sure everyone is safe.
For cake smashes I use seamless paper. After each cake smash session I cut off the part we used and throw those away. buy the seamless paper new in packaging for each session. I wipe down any props what we use with Lysol wipes too. I pride myself in making your child’s safety my first priority.
Its my birthday and I can cry if I want to….

Look who turned ONE! Little Miss was a little under the weather for her milestone session but she still had a great time with her cake. I love when I get to photograph babies their first year of life. They grow so much and to capture these moments for families is so special. The session took place at her home and we try to take some portraits first with the family then move on to the cake smash portion of the session. Most babies are not a big fan of cake so I suggest giving them a little before the actual session so they know what cake taste like. You will provide the decorations such as balloons or banners. I have the letters ONE & #1. You will also supply the cake due to allergy concerns. If you would like for me to supply the entire session the price can be adjusted to make that part of your session less stressful.
The cake smash session can take place in studio or outside at a location of your choice.

Look at adorable Noah from his in-home newborn session. He was such a good baby, he was up for most of his session and liked to cluster feed but at 8 days new he rocked his session. I know his parents will charish these images for years to come. I’m so happy to provides these newborn photographs for families in the comfort of their own home. I also have a home studio but for the most part clients feel more comfortable in their homes. I bring the whole studio to you. We discuss colors and props you would like to incorporate into your session to make them special to you.
it’s time for Spring Mini-Sessions and we couldn’t be more excited! I’m so glad to continue to offer our clients these awesome 15 minute sessions as they are such a great way to get everyone together for some updated photos! And I mean everyone. Mama’s, this year we had you specifically in mind. In our home, there’s one person that’s typically missing from our family photos…ME! Sat, April 25th, Sunday, May 3rd or Sat. May 23rd
$140 includes a 15 minute session with me, 5 high resolution images with the rights to print and the option to purchase additional images from the gallery . You’ll have a private online gallery for 2 weeks to review, select and download your 5 included images. All sessions are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. All mini sessions are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE due to the limited availability and high demand on our mini session dates. If it rains, the back up date will be Announced.
The location TBD. You will receive an email the Wednesday before your date with the location. There is a deposit to hold your spot then the balance is due at the time of your session.

This sleeping angel is so very loved! I brought the studio to her home. This allows parents to be more relaxed and not worry if they forget something. This Deluxe Newborn session includes parents. The session takes a little longer but is more relaxed since it does take place in the comfort of your own home. Each newborn session is beautiful and unique in its own way. You get to choose the props and colors from my prop collection.

I love getting to hang out with an adorable three-month-old. I set up my studio in her home, which is an option instead of coming to my home studio. Whichever works best for families. I think Chloe was a serious 3 month old but i did get a few smiles out of her. Here is a sneak peek from her adorable session.
A rainbow baby is a baby born shortly after the loss of a previous baby due to miscarriage, stillbirth, or death in infancy. This term is given to these special rainbow babies because a rainbow typically follows a storm, giving us hope of what’s to come.”
This was such an emotional and special newborn photo session. Every part of these photos had a meaning and a deep connection with this loving family.
